On 14 July 2023, King's Service Centre Sustainability Committee visited London for the Sustainability Awards 2023 and were awarded Gold Green Impact for their work throughout the year.

The committee have delivered different Sustainability Initiatives in Cornwall to receive the award including beach cleans, a sunflower growing competition, handing out wildflower seeds, recycling coffee grounds, raising awareness through company communications channels, influencing purchases for Fairtrade coffee and Rainforest Alliance Tea and offering tips and advice to staff to be more sustainable.

The work doesn’t stop there as the committee has a swap shop, educational staff drop ins and a book swap planned for the autumn.
