KSC supports all our staff to achieve their ITIL Foundation Certificate, because we believe that this gives a better understanding of the business, no matter what your role is.
The ITIL Foundation is an entry level qualification and provides a framework and understanding for IT Service Management based on a five-phase service lifecycle; Service Strategy, Service Operation, Service Design, Service Transition and Continual Service Improvement.
The focus is on delivering IT as a service for the end user, rather than on the technology, and how to improve the service delivery and capability.
We provide a structured study programme using blended learning. This involves online learning, a mock exam, then a 1 day ITIL in Practice session with one of our ITIL experts that can apply real life business scenarios to topics. We also provide access to an online ITIL Foundation revision book. This is then followed by the exam day, which involves a 2 hour exam preparation session beforehand.
Training and exams are run throughout the year at both our Cornwall and London offices, and is part of our mandatory CPD, staff are expected to have completed this qualification before requesting further role specific CPD.
