Supports the Head of Assurance by providing stakeholder management and assurance support to ensure effective running of IT services, helping King’s do the right thing, in the right way, at the right time. Provides proactive support to the change environment, including supporting the IT Solutions department to ensure that programmes and projects are delivered in line with policy and best practice requirements. Works with others in the IT Assurance team as a point of escalation for Assurance matters, to develop performance reporting and resource management to assist with capacity planning and developing the Assurance service in general. Deputises for the Head of IT Assurance as required, including acting as an incident response leader where necessary.
The role supports increasing compliance obligations including regulatory (Data Protection, FOI, Research Data etc.) and policy adherence. You will work with the Risk and Business Continuity Manager and Senior Assurance Analyst to develop the Assurance service. The role will be responsible for building strong links to stakeholders both within IT and the wider university, in particular the university’s Business Assurance function.
In addition to supporting change delivery, initial focus will be to assist the establishment of an information security forum and awareness programme, manage an overhaul of IT policies, and support the Risk and Business Continuity Manager to develop stronger risk and service assurance approaches.
Some travel may be required, (predominately between the Quintrell Downs office and university campuses in London).
